The Mortgage Brokers Association of British Columbia is strongly committed to providing ongoing and relevant education to its members and the Mortgage Broker Industry in British Columbia. All Educational seminars and courses provided by the Mortgage Brokers Association of British Columbia follow standards of the Educational Value Proposition of the association.

The MBABC provides consistent educational seminars and programs that add value to members, are offered across the province and through distance learning, increase the integrity of the association and value to consumers utilizing members of the MBABC.  The MBABC works with provincial governmental bodies regarding pre and post licensing programs and solutions and works with other provincial organizations and associations.

Building on an initiative started in 2005, the MBABC continues to offer bi-annual education programs to members. These bi-annual seminars are focused on providing current information to the Mortgage Broker Community on key topics that assist in building a solid business. Seminars will be held in Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Okanagan/Kootenay and may be expanding into Northern British Columbia.

The MBABC is also pleased to continue with the popular Applied information Course. This course currently offered on a bi-annual basis in the lower mainland, is being re-evaluated for greater accessibility and frequency to better serve the membership province wide. The education chairs are researching feasibility to move the AIC to an online course with expanded format and content. Should this prove to be a viable solution, the revamped course will have province wide access and offer more frequent registration dates for members. Education and up to date industry information will continue to be the main focus at the yearly MBABC Trade Show and Annual General Meeting.

The success of the MBABC Education programs is due to the tremendous support from MBABC Members. This support comes in the form of members volunteering time to teach at the Applied Information Course, helping to organize a seminar series or simply by offering ideas and suggestions by participating in the MBABC Education Committee.
