The contact information you provide will appear on the MBABC website and in the MBABC annual printed directory. It will also be used for mailings and email broadcasts from the association. You can manage your account directly if your contact information changes.
The MBABC Board of Directors meet monthly to approve pending memberships. A new member package will be sent to you upon approval.
Voting Corporate Member - $350 The Corporate entity and one individual (the nominee) must be registered as a mortgage broker in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia (Article 3.01a) and be an active mortgage brokerage company. If the Corporate Member has more than one registered individual operating under its brokerage registration, each individual must also become a member of the Society under the Individual Membership Category. Each Corporate Member has one vote in the Association.
Voting Individual Member - $150 The Individual Member shall be an employee of a Corporate Member and must be registered as a sub-broker in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and be an active sub-mortgage broker. Each individual has one vote in the association.
Voting Corporate Associate Member - $350 The Corporate entity is registered as a mortgage broker or sub-mortgage broker in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia to practice mortgage brokerage but are not active retail mortgage brokerage companies. This membership category is designed for members whose primary source of business is not generated through retail mortgage brokerage activities. The member in this category has one vote in the association.
Voting Individual Associate Member - $150 Individual Associate Members shall be employees of a Corporate Associate Member and registered as a mortgage broker or sub-mortgage broker in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia to practice mortgage brokerage but whose primary source of business is not generated through retail mortgage brokerage activities. The member in this category has one vote in the association.
Non-Voting Corporate Associate Member - $350 The Corporate entity is not registered as a mortgage brokerage company and does not carry on the business of mortgage brokering. Members in this category do not have a vote in the association.
Non-Voting Individual Associate Member - $150 The individual in this category is an employee of a Corporate Associate Member that is not registered as a mortgage broker and does not carry on the business of mortgage brokering.
